Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
BHRT
What is Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)?
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is designed to restore the natural balance of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, the key hormones that often decline or fluctuate as we age.
These shifts can affect your energy, mood, metabolism, sleep, sexual health, and overall quality of life. Left unaddressed, hormonal imbalance doesn’t just disrupt your daily well-being; it can also increase the risk of chronic conditions linked to long-term hormonal decline.
At Empower Your Health, we take a personalized, evidence-based approach to hormone therapy. We use bioidentical hormones, molecularly identical to those your body produces naturally, for a more seamless integration that supports true physiological balance and not just symptom relief.

We create customized treatment plans centered around Biote Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
We’re all born with hormones, and they’re essential to how our bodies function and grow. Hormones are at their peak in our 20s, but as we age, they begin to slowly decline. And when that happens, our bodies start sending signals that are often easy to dismiss. Interrupted sleep, mood swings, or stubborn weight gain can feel like “just life,” but they’re frequently early signs that your hormones are out of balance.
Over time, other symptoms may appear: hot flashes, joint pain, low libido, fatigue, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and even a loss of strength or motivation.
Hormonal decline is a natural part of aging, but that doesn’t mean you have to simply live with it. At Empower Your Health, we believe in identifying these shifts early, taking the time to understand what’s really going on, and building a plan that helps you feel like yourself again — only clearer, stronger, and more connected to the life you want to live.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to test hormone levels before treatment?
Yes. Blood serum testing is the gold standard for measuring hormone levels, offering reliability and clear benchmarks for both safety and efficacy. At Empower Your Health, we perform comprehensive laboratory testing before prescribing any hormones. Because we specialize in finding the root cause of your symptoms, we take an in-depth look at how your body is functioning as a whole. Treatment plans always focus on optimizing your overall health, not solely your hormone levels.
How soon will I see results with HRT?
Your journey with hormone therapy is uniquely yours, and the timeline for feeling better can look different for everyone. That’s why your Empower Your Health provider will take the time to understand your experience and guide you with insight tailored to your body and goals.
That said, many people begin noticing improvements within the first few weeks, particularly with symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, and disrupted sleep. Weight shifts, body composition, and muscle strength tend to change more gradually, with many patients seeing meaningful progress around the three-month mark. Studies show that by then, approximately 80% of patients report significant symptom relief.
What matters most is that we track your progress closely and adjust as needed to get you feeling balanced, empowered, and back to yourself.
Is HRT safe?
Your safety is our top priority. Before starting hormone replacement therapy, we carefully evaluate your overall health to ensure that treatment is both safe and appropriate for you. That’s why it’s essential to complete your intake form honestly and thoroughly — every detail helps us make the most informed decisions on your behalf.
Our providers rely on clinical expertise and the latest research when determining whether HRT is the right fit. For most patients who are properly screened and monitored, the risk is very low and the potential benefits are significant. If you’re a candidate, we’ll walk you through what to expect, including a personalized discussion of any potential risks and how we plan to minimize them.
We’re here to make sure you feel confident, informed, and fully supported every step of the way.
How often are pellet insertions scheduled?
For women, pellet insertions are recommended every 3 to 4 months. For men, every 4 to 6 months.
What does the pellet insertion procedure involve?
The procedure is minimally invasive and takes place right here at our clinic. Local anesthesia is used to keep you comfortable throughout. A small incision is made in the upper buttocks area to place the pellets, which are roughly the size of a grain of rice. Over time, they settle naturally into place and become completely undetectable.
